An emergency meeting has been held in Killybegs over an emerging fishing crisis. Last week, the fishing industry sounded the alarm over an economic loss of up to €200 millionIt follows new international advice recommending deep cuts to key pelagic and whitefish fish stocks for 2026.Marine Minister Timmy Dooley TD met with fishing leaders yesterday to discuss the matter.
