Emily Felix - Friedreich’s Ataxia Dublin Protest - 21/08/2026

Emily Felix - aged 28 is a trainee solicitor from Gowran, Co Kilkenny who has Friedreich’s Ataxia (a rare neurological degenerative disease). She argues that a drug called Skyclarys (omaveloxolone) would slow the progression of the condition. She says she is losing mobility and neurological function "every month" and "every year". She is a full-time wheelchair user. There will be a demonstration this Sunday 23rd August at 12pm in Dublin starting in the garden of remembrance at the top of O’Connell Street making their way down to Customs Quay.
