Emma Frazer: President of NZ Association of Beauty Professionals talks 'gel nail ban'

from Kerre Woodham Mornings Podcast · host Newstalk ZB

Despite headlines about a "gel nail ban", gel manicures are not being banned in the UK. The new rules target a specific ingredient called TPO (trimethylbenzoyl diphenylphosphine oxide), which is used in many gel polishes to help them harden under UV or LED lamps. Regulators are phasing out polishes containing TPO over concerns it may damage fertility. So are we being exposed to TPO here in New Zealand? NZ Association of Registered Beauty Professionals President and owner of Allure Nail Studio in Tauranga Emma Frazer joined Kerre Woodham to discuss.  LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
