Emmett Johnson goes to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 5 th round, as the NFL Draft wraps up with him being the only Husker taken

-Those projections of as high as the 2 nd round were way off for Emmett, who heard his name picked in the 5 th round by the Chiefs---those cheersyou heard were from your neighbors thrilled to see him go to their favorite team.-It’s another year, though, of just one Husker drafted---which is better than what Wisconsin, Purdue and UCLA had….for the Badgers, it’s thefirst time since 1978 that no one was drafted. Meanwhile, the SEC had 87 players drafted compared to the B1G’s 68…though it was a good firstround for the B1G. Also…former Husker Nate Boerkircher was a 2 nd round pick (Jaguars)!!!
