Emotional Alchemy Ft. Jose Joaquin Bitar Name
from Silicon Zombies Hosted by Silicon Zombies
Emotional Alchemy: Mood is biology José Joaquin Bitar Name (TUOM) brings mood science alive — showing how changing your emotional chemistry can ripple through performance, wellness, and longevity. Jose Joaquin Bitar recalls his company collapsing seven years ago. After laying off 120 employees, Jose felt empty and unable to "climb out." A friend offered him coffee and chocolate, and 20 minutes later, Jose felt a miraculous shift toward calm and joy. This sparked his belief that "the answer is in nature." Jose researched how ancestors used plants, roots, and flowers to balance moods. Inspired by Listerine strips, Jose wondered if natural ingredients could be made portable to transform how people feel. This led to Emotions in your Pocket, a business focused on "emotional alchemy." The product is an oral strip designed to relax the body and clear the mind within 20 minutes. Jose notes that neuroscience confirms "emotions drive decisions." By managing feelings, individuals make strategic rather than defensive choices. Jose suggests using a strip before high-stakes moments, like job interviews, to remain focused and confident. Nick Larson joins Jose, compelled by the idea of "fitting emotions in your pocket." He highlights the company's seven years of research into natural alternatives to mood-altering drugs, utilizing ingredients like: Lavender, Theanine, and Saffron for mood and calm. Theobromine, Rhodiola, and Ginseng for energy. Peppermint and Rosemary for focus.
