A popular Drogheda playground has been vandalised for the second time this year, Louth County Council confirmed.The local authority has strongly condemned the recent act of vandalism at Moneymore Playground in Drogheda in the last week which caused “significant damage to the facilities, creating a safety hazard and resulting in substantial repair costs.”The council said the estimated cost of repairs, including the replacement of the safety surface, removal of damaged equipment, and associated works, is approximately €5,000.Mayor of Drogheda, Michelle Hall, said damage to the playground had an impact on the whole community.Michelle Hall joined us on The Agenda this morning to talk to us some more about this.
