Teachers with a good balance of Emotional Intelligence and Resilience will be able to perform their very best in their role as Teachers. They can also pass on the positive influence to their learners, either directly or indirectly for the best outcome. It is said that “Emotional Intelligence is the bedrock of success, whenever you are working with people. It makes you a needs driven-teacher, which is a lot better than being an ego driven Teacher” – Towella Ngambi. This webinar addresses the following questions and more: How the Teacher training process ensures that emotional intelligence and resilience are part of the learning in Teacher Education. How Teachers acquire and display these skills in their teaching. What ways could these skills be measured and evaluated. Towella Ngambi is the Principal Lecturer for the Institute of Foundation Studies at Arden University in the UK. She has over 27 years experience in teaching within Pupil Referral Units, Secondary Schools, Further and Higher Education. She is qualified in Teaching and Learning from Chester University in the UK with a Qualified Teachers Status, she is also a Chartered Psychologist and a member of the Division for Teachers and Researchers in Psychology, currently completing her Doctoral studies in Education.
