**The Gift of a Tender Heart**Have you ever been told you’re “too emotional”? Maybe you feel things deeply—the joy, the disappointment, the burdens of people you love, and even the pain in the world around you. But what if a tender heart is not something to hide or apologize for? What if it is a gift?God never asks us to become numb. He invites us to bring every feeling to Him. Jesus Himself wept at Lazarus’s tomb, showed deep compassion for hurting people, and carried sorrow in the garden before the cross. He understands emotions because He experienced them.Your feelings do not have to control you, but they can lead you closer to God. They can become prayers when words are hard to find, compassion when someone needs love, and reminders that you need the comfort only Jesus can give.If your heart feels heavy today, remember this: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
