Empathy and the Violence in Palestine with Rasha

Growing up in the Middle East, Rasha learned to hold generalized views conflating Jewish people with the actions of people in the Israeli government and military. Moving to Canada as an adult, she learned to separate these differences. However, the escalating violence by Israeli forces against Palestinians in Gaza since October 7th reignited intense anger, sadness, and a sense of helplessness for her.    In this episode, John works with Rasha to empathize with her experience and explore empathy for those inflicting this violence and suffering. Through this empathic dialogue, Rasha explored her emotions, needs, and values around this complex conflict.
