Despite being the majority in the profession, women are still underrepresented in leadership positions within veterinary schools and organisations. Recent studies indicate that women veterinarians consistently earn less and advance more slowly than their male counterparts, though the field is working to address this. The growing proportion of women in veterinary school suggests this trend of feminization will continue to shape the profession's future. It kicks off with the founder of 120 Compressions Eric Cantor who is an active Paramedic, and instructor and has been working as an EMS provider for over 15 years speaking with Dr Shruthi Ganesh a Veterinarian who is a Virginia native and Virginia Tech graduate. While in Veterinary school she concurrently completed a master's in public health.
