En Colombia prevemos que el PIB crezca 1,5% en 2024 y 2,8% en 2025

Juana Téllez, de BBVA Research, comenta los mensajes principales de la publicación Situación Colombia. Marzo 2024 anticipando que se espera que la economía crezca 1,5% este año, después de un 2023 en el que el país tuvo una desaceleración pronunciada. Estos bajos niveles de actividad se mantendrán al inicio del 2024, para luego mejorarse desde mediados. El mejor consumo, especialmente de bienes, impulsará la inversión y la producción y el comercio de bienes en el segundo semestre. El sector de la vivienda se unirá a estos mejores datos desde finales del 2024. Durante 2025, cuando se consolide el desempeño de la demanda interna y la construcción, el crecimiento del PIB se anticipa que sea del 2,8%. Aparte, menciona que la inflación está trayendo buenas noticias, y se pronostica que seguirá reduciéndose gradualmente hasta el 5,4% en diciembre de este año y 3,8% al final del próximo, en un contexto en el que la inflación de alimentos se mantendrá controlada después de haber corregido a la baja. El Banco de la República llevará su tasa hasta el 7,00% en diciembre de 2024 y 5,50% a mediados del 2025, cuando se estabilizará por un tiempo prolongado. En cuanto a la creación de empleo, esta se moderará este año y mejorará marginalmente el próximo, en línea con el comportamiento de la actividad.
