[EN] Helping survivors of sexual violence

HELPING SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE is what Brianna was doing for 6 years in American rape centres. All of us can be inspired by her story and reflect how we can show up to contribute to help provided to millions of victims out there. We explained what is sexual violence and what kind of safety planning is possible in times of corona lockdown.    In this episode, we look at the story of Brianna and her professional career as an advocate for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the United States. She has been a counselor for adults and children experiencing violence, a medical advocate for survivors of sexual assault, and has worked in emergency shelters. She currently works with a Brussels-based NGO that advocates for human rights at a political level. She manages two programs: women’s rights and gender equality; and LGBTQI people and human rights.
