Encouraging Your Child’s Creative Path: Daniela & Rory Bills-Everett

from New Visionary Podcast · host Visionary Art Collective

S1 E37. At only eight years old, Rory Bills-Everett is a prolific painter whose work has been featured in numerous exhibitions. Rory’s art has been acquired by the Children’s Museum of Art in NYC, and she recently had a solo exhibition at Soho House in Amsterdam. In this inspiring episode, I chat with Rory’s mother, Daniela, about her daughter’s emerging art career. Here’s what we discuss: 1. The importance of showing your child that it’s possible to pursue an art career by providing them with opportunities to share their art.2. Why it’s essential to validate your child’s creative journey and show them what’s possible.3. How The Artist Glow-Up Program, our signature 12-week course for artists, helped Daniela and Rory to navigate the art world, ultimately leading to a solo exhibition.4. What we can learn from choosing to believe in ourselves and our work, even in the face of rejection. About Rory Bills-Everett:Rory Bills-Everett is an 8-year old contemporary abstract painter who lives and works between Lisbon, Portugal and Westport, Ireland. As an intuitive, self-taught artist, Rory’s work is informed by the coastal regions in which she resides, and her paintings are ultimately a manifestation of her internal dialogue. In allowing her emotions to be represented on the canvas she provides a platform from which to converse with the viewer. Rory uses expressive brushstrokes and a vibrant, energetic color palette. She introduces texture through layering materials and ambulatory movement to draw the viewer in.Follow Rory on Instagram: @rorybillseverett_studioVisit our website: visionaryartcollective.comFollow us on Instagram: @visionaryartcollective + @newvisionarymag Join our newsletter:visionaryartcollective.com/newsletter
