End-Expiratory Occlusion to Determine Fluid/Volume Responsiveness

There are various means that we can use to determine fluid/volume responsiveness in our critically ill patients. These include PLR with SV changes, SVV, PPV, VTI, etc. End-expiratory occlusion testing can be performed on patients who are on mechanical ventilation. In this podcast episode, we discuss the use of end-expiratory occlusion (EEO) as a method to determine fluid and volume responsiveness in critically ill patients.
