End-of-life Pet Photography I The Tilly Project with Lauren Kennedy

from PetAbility Podcast · host PetAbility

Love of a pet inevitably turns to grief upon their passing. We each struggle to fill the hole in our hearts that they leave behind. This show discusses how an end-of-life photography session may help memorialize and celebrate our pet’s life.  Listen as Lauren Kennedy shares the story of how her offer of taking photographs of a dog at the end of its life became a world-wide network of over 1,000 photographers offering these same services, often for free. The Tilly Project, named after Lauren’s cat, Tilly, who died unexpectedly, aims to connect pet owners with end-of-life pet photographers and provide accessible, educational, and supportive resources for photography, anticipatory grief, and pet loss/bereavement.  The beautiful, and often intimate, photos capture the love and enduring relationship between the pet and their family. They are not sad, but poignant and powerful - evoking familiar feelings in all of us - to be cherished forever.Find The Tilly Project website here.Find The Tilly Project: End-of-Life Pet Photography Network here.Find The Tilly Project Facebook Page here.DisclaimerVitalVet.org, a platform for all things related to pet rehab - product information, education, and resources abound!
