Ending 2025 With God: A Holy Look Back Before We Move Forward / 🇫🇷 Clore 2025 avec Dieu : un regard saint en arrière avant d’avancer

Hey friends - Thanks for joining me in this LIFE ON MISSION with Jesus!We’re at the doorstep of a new year. With the end of this year comes a new beginning. But as 2025 comes to a close, I don’t want to rush ahead. I want to pause and look back with God.I want to prepare for 2026 with God, for a set apart year of faithfulness, starting with abiding in the Lord and remaining in His love. I want to prepare for real learning and growth. But I know, it is good to look back before we move forward.In Lamentations 3:40, it says,“Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the LORD!”Before new goals, new plans, and new ideas, there’s something deeply important we’re invited to do as children of God.We get to look back with the Lord, not in regret or condemnation, but in gratitude, humility, and truth.God is not afraid of reflection. He invites it.Scripture calls us to “consider our ways,” to “remember,” and to “give thanks in all circumstances.” Looking back prayerfully allows us to see where God was faithful, where we grew, where we resisted Him, and where He is still inviting us deeper.So as you sit with the Lord, here are some honest questions to pray through, not to rush through, but to submit before God’s throne of grace and to listen and look for His loving feedback and guidance. Give God thanks and praise before and after you pray.Psalm 100:4 proclaims,“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!”As You remember who it is you are approaching with gratitude and praise, the one, true living God and Creator of the universe, your prayer-life will change. You won’t rush through prayer. You’ll want His counsel and response more than ever. I believe that.So, pause after each prayer. No need to rush. God moves according to His perfect timing.I really encourage you to allow God the space and time to bring specific memories, moments, words, and images to mind as you prayerfully contemplate this year with Him, like our ever-present God truly is with you, in the room, even nearer than the breath in your lungs through His Holy Spirit.I also encourage you to pick up and pen and notebook by faith, ready to record and respond to the Lord’s guidance, prompting, and the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit.Let’s turn to our God and ask:Gracious Lord, remind me of specific times I got to clearly see Your faithfulness this year. When did I experience the joy of abiding in Christ?How did the way I spent my time reflect what I truly value?What strengthened my faith this year?What really challenged my faith?Where did abiding and obedience bring growth and good fruit?Where did fear or distraction pull me away from intimacy with You, God?This is not about performance. It’s about a real relationship with the Lord our living God.The goal is not to judge yourself, but to invite the Lord into your story.Gratitude really sharpens spiritual sight.When we name God’s faithfulness, our faith grows stronger.When we remember His goodness, our hope becomes anchored again.Take time to thank Him. Name the gifts and grace He has given. Acknowledge the growth He enabled. Celebrate His goodness and the grace He provided. Celebrate Immanuel’s presence with you through it all.God has been with you every step of the way. And before we step into a new year, it’s right and good to say: “Thank You, Lord.”“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”- Psalm 107:1Thank You, Lord, for who You are and what You’ve done, seen and unseen. Your steadfast love endures forever. May Your steadfast love truly transform us and fuel us now and throughout this upcoming new year with You!I ask and pray in the name of Jesus my Lord! La fin de cette année ouvre la porte à un nouveau commencement. Mais alors que 2025 touche à sa fin, je ne veux pas me précipiter vers l’avant.Je veux faire une pause et regarder en arrière avec Dieu.Je veux me préparer pour 2026 avec Dieu, pour une année mise à part de fidélité, en commençant par demeurer dans le Seigneur et rester dans Son amour. Je veux me préparer à un réel apprentissage et à une croissance authentique. Mais je sais qu’il est bon de regarder en arrière avant d’avancer.Dans Lamentations 3:40, il est écrit :« Examinons nos voies, sondons-les,et retournons à l’Éternel ! »Avant de nouveaux objectifs, de nouveaux projets et de nouvelles idées, il y a quelque chose de profondément important auquel nous sommes invités en tant qu’enfants de Dieu.Nous avons la grâce de regarder en arrière avec le Seigneur — non pas avec regret ou condamnation, mais avec gratitude, humilité et vérité.Dieu n’a pas peur de la réflexion. Il nous y invite.Les Écritures nous appellent à « considérer nos voies », à « nous souvenir » et à « rendre grâce en toutes circonstances ». Regarder en arrière dans la prière nous permet de voir où Dieu a été fidèle, où nous avons grandi, où nous Lui avons résisté, et où Il nous invite encore à aller plus en profondeur.Alors, alors que tu t’assieds avec le Seigneur, voici quelques questions honnêtes à prier — non pas à survoler, mais à déposer devant le trône de grâce de Dieu, en écoutant et en recherchant Son retour aimant et Sa direction. Rends grâce et loue Dieu avant et après ce temps de prière.Le Psaume 100:4 proclame :« Entrez dans ses portes avec des louanges,dans ses parvis avec des chants de reconnaissance !Célébrez-le, bénissez son nom ! »Lorsque tu te rappelles à Qui tu t’approches avec gratitude et louange — le seul vrai Dieu vivant, Créateur de l’univers — ta vie de prière change. Tu ne te précipiteras plus dans la prière. Tu désireras plus que jamais Son conseil et Sa réponse. J’en suis convaincu.Alors, fais une pause après chaque prière. Inutile de se presser. Dieu agit selon Son timing parfait.Je t’encourage vraiment à laisser à Dieu l’espace et le temps de faire remonter à ton esprit des souvenirs précis, des moments, des paroles et des images, tandis que tu contemples cette année avec Lui dans la prière — comme si notre Dieu toujours présent était réellement avec toi, dans la pièce, encore plus proche que le souffle dans tes poumons par Son Saint-Esprit.Je t’encourage aussi à prendre, par la foi, un stylo et un carnet, prêt à noter et à répondre à la direction du Seigneur, à Ses invitations et à la voix douce et légère du Saint-Esprit.Tournons-nous vers notre Dieu et demandons :Seigneur plein de grâce, rappelle-moi des moments précis où j’ai clairement vu Ta fidélité cette année.Quand ai-je fait l’expérience de la joie de demeurer en Christ ?Comment la manière dont j’ai utilisé mon temps a-t-elle reflété ce que je valorise réellement ?Qu’est-ce qui a fortifié ma foi cette année ?Qu’est-ce qui a réellement mis ma foi à l’épreuve ?Où le fait de demeurer en Toi et d’obéir a-t-il produit de la croissance et du bon fruit ?Où la peur ou la distraction m’ont-elles éloigné de l’intimité avec Toi, Dieu ?Il ne s’agit pas de performance.Il s’agit d’une relation réelle avec le Seigneur notre Dieu vivant.Le but n’est pas de te juger toi-même, mais d’inviter le Seigneur dans ton histoire.La gratitude affine véritablement la vision spirituelle.Lorsque nous nommons la fidélité de Dieu, notre foi se fortifie.Lorsque nous nous souvenons de Sa bonté, notre espérance s’ancre de nouveau.Prends le temps de Le remercier.Nomme les dons et la grâce qu’Il t’a accordés.Reconnais la croissance qu’Il a rendue possible.Célèbre Sa bonté et la grâce qu’Il a pourvue.Célèbre la présence d’Immanuel avec toi à travers tout cela.Dieu a été avec toi à chaque pas. Et avant d’entrer dans une nouvelle année, il est juste et bon de dire :« Merci, Seigneur. »« Louez l’Éternel, car il est bon,car sa bonté dure à toujours ! »— Psaume 107:1Merci, Seigneur, pour Qui Tu es et pour ce que Tu as fait, vu et invisible. Ton amour fidèle demeure pour toujours.
