from Women Waken: Spiritual Healing for Trauma in Relationships to Shift from Codependency to Divine Feminine · host Whitney Walker

Recovery can be a long road. Finding your way back to yourself after the years of disconnect that results from addiction can seem lonely and scary. This is why looking at recovery as a positive and joyous experience is so important. There can be dark stretches yet it's not always doom and gloom. Constance Scharff has made a career of researching the most impactful ways to break free from addiction for good and reclaim your authentic spirit. Through music, laughter, movement, and healing it is possible to return to ourselves and find greater fulfillment in life than we ever knew. Constance and I have a powerful conversation around all things addiction and recovery including our personal stories and what we've found that makes the journey more enjoyable. Constance shares some valuable insights into the nature of addiction and how true healing can occur when we speak our truth and utilize multiple modalities to address trauma held within. Constance Scharff, PhD is an internationally recognized speaker and author on the topics of addiction and trauma recovery, and mental health. Addiction is complex. Therefore, it is necessary for there to be as many options for recovery as there are people seeking it, allowing for a smorgasbord of options and means to obtain successful abstinence.
