We do not fully grasp all that God has done for us -the price that has been paid for us. We should always have joy and thankfulness for all He has done. Seriousness and agony do not override nor delete joy. Looking in James 1, we should endure trails to achieve the end goal. Hebrews 10: 31-34. Philippians 1: 28-30. Seeing the big picture allows us to take personal steps towards the goal even when they are painful steps. The opposite of joy is worry/anxiety. For faith to grow, it needs to be tested. Revelations 2:9-11. Over and over again, the Bible shows the relationship between our inheritance, our faith, our endurance of suffering, and our joy. Take on the hard jobs that no one else will do. The Day of the Lord is a time of suffering by the world's hand. Perpare. We have this hope: that there is held for us a great inheritance, that carried within us is a great power to endure all things so we can get to that inheritance, and that nothing can keep that inheritance from being in our hands on day except our own lack of faith.
