Concluding our summer series "One Three Nine," Pastor Jim Ellis tackles the final, challenging section of Psalm 139:19–24. While this Psalm is easy to love in its earlier verses, it takes a difficult turn as David uses strong language regarding his enemies and expressions of hate. Jim unpacks how these verses are descriptive of David's raw human emotions, rather than prescriptive for how we should live. Ultimately, David’s example teaches us to bring our most intense feelings honestly before God, exposing our hearts so we can release them to Him.
