In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power. We like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour.

I am your host, Raven. I'm Chad. This is Dogg. This is Drake.

I'm sorry, I didn't know Doc was there. I'm sure I am. And happy to be here too. For the business, we've got a couple of things coming up.

On August 12th, we're going to the Ocean of Adda. Tickets are still available. Team Blood Member, team members will be there. And we're hoping that some of you guys can come too.

We've got some people coming. It's going to be a lot of fun. It's a bit of a drive, a little more expensive because you're going to have to pay for gas and food and hotel and stuff. But honestly, I think it's going to be worth it.

Just the cemetery alone is worth the trip down there. Yeah, it's a neat venue. I'm pretty stoked. I'm going too.

So by the time you hear this, you still have a few days to decide. If you've kind of been him and Hine, just do it. Just come hang with me. I'm fun to hang with, aren't I?

I think so. And you can get the tickets on events there. I need more enthusiasm guys. I mean, I keep coming every time, so.

I mean, a resounding yes. Okay. Resounding yes. Is that better?

I'm delightful. Tickets are available on eventsparanormal.com slash events. And so you can go out and get those. We're going to get some other tickets up here pretty quick and we've got a whole bunch of other events.

Oh, my goodness. So many events. I actually in August ish, July, I checked out a September October calendar and it was pretty much full a couple weeks ago. Granted, some of those are football games, but it's still a chock full of Halloweeny, spooky time things.

Doesn't even include two events that we are going to plan for us and starting about the first of September, people start calling us wanting spooky things. So it's going to get even more full. We have our insider shindig for our Patreon supporters and that is August 26th at the secret location. Those members who are patrons and insiders will be getting that location information in separate emails.

It's just secret because if you're not a patron, you can't come. Yep. And if you are a patron and you have time to sign up, you go out to I think at supernaturalhour.com slash patrons and you can sign up. And just to let you know, this venue that we're going to is one of the darker places that we go to.

So some pretty hairy stuff is coming. And great food. Fantastic food. And if you're patrons, you get to bring some friends and there are no churches on tickets and those kinds of things.

So you get to bring some friends. So your ticket in is your side dish. Yep. In addition to that, there's a number of library presentations that are going on in September October.

Yes. And we'll probably have a couple of dead talk. Yeah. So, yeah, so.

In investigation, presentations at the Hub Theater, we're still trying to get better. Yeah, I don't want to throw out a ton of dates and then bog you down. They'll be on the website soon. But we are going to Springville Library.

We're going to American Fork Library. We're going to the Chapman Library, which is a pencil like those are three that we do consistently. We've done those consistently for years. But last year we had two or three new ones call in.

So. So we're pretty excited about that. It's going to be a busy, a busy fall season for us. And then our dead talks at the Hub Theater will probably get too in.

We're thinking. Yep. We're still trying to arrange those. But that's the plan.

Yeah. So the thing that I think is the coolest is it's on. So the Hub Theater was the old sticky shoe in American Fork Library Street. And so we put our presentation up on this ginormous movie screen theater and it feels pretty surreal.

I feel like I'm a movie star. She thinks she's Steve Jobs. Right. Stand up there where you'll look quicker.

Yeah. Going through the presentation. I'm not a clicker. Okay, you guys can't see it, but I have to show you the clicker.

And here's the thing is I had a clicker and I lost a clicker. So I bought a new clicker. I haven't opened a new clicker because I'm hoping that it will somehow summon the old clicker and I can send the new clicker back. So it's just sitting in a box on my desk trying to summon the old clicker.

So how often are your presentations on like they'll be excreting, right? Right. It's pretty awesome. You know, when it comes on and it's got that sound, it's just like, oh yeah, I could get used to this.

It should be a good one. I walk around while cocky. It's pretty impressive. It's a lot of fun.

So there are tickets available for that for just the presentation and those are $10 and then the tickets for the presentation and the investigation which are limited to like 25 tickets. It's a smaller venue. Because it's a smaller venue. I mean, it's a big venue, but like theaters are big and you can't have too many things going on.

So we go to some of the other areas in the theater, the projection room and some of the other areas. But we've got some pretty awesome evidence there. We've had equipment tipped over. That was the latest one.

Yeah, that was the last one we did. And the other thing too is our EVPs when we have the EVPs that you can listen to have them come through theater speakers. So anything else we need to talk about this place? Not that I can think of.

Oh, on and out. The Indian Hillsmont, which is not in Indian Hills anymore. It's out in West Provo. We'll be going on the Friday, Saturday before Halloween, I think it's 28th and 29th and I think you're correct.

And Tuesday the 31st. Now, weren't they having a walkthrough for people that like haunted houses but don't like the jump scares? There may possibly be a walkthrough. We'll get more information on that on the Monday.

They aren't going to be able to probably have the actors on that Monday night and there's other commitments that have been made. It may be 27th and 28th, Friday, Saturday. Okay, so October 27th and 28th and then also on Halloween night. Tuesday the 31st.

And if you haven't heard about this before, if you're new since maybe Last October is a listener, this is a haunted house that is free. It's free but if you'd like to donate, you're welcome to give donations. But it is literally better than any paid haunted house you'll go to. You've had it there last year didn't you?

We didn't podcast but we had a presence. Okay. I remember seeing some video from there and it just looked really great. I think you might have done one of your YouTube's for you.

Maybe did a TikTok or something. You know, just tons of people come out and say, wow, that's better than when we paid for it. Did we have like 1,500 questions? Oh, over that.

We, that might have been on one day. I think between all the days we did, we had over 2,500 people come through. So considering we only run for a couple of hours each night and we do it for three nights. You go from like eight until 11 to two nights and then eight until 10.

Yeah, so during the week they go to 11. And they start setting up in September? Yeah. I mean, it's not a hokey throw it up in a couple days thing.

It's they literally build a house in the backyard. And if you go to eventsparanormal.com slash haunt, you can see a video of the 2022 version of the haunt. And they put together a really nice video for a free haunt. I don't think you're going to find anything better out there.

Yeah, and hopefully they do do the walkthrough because we've had several people come through saying, oh, I love haunted houses, but I hate the jump scares. So that's something that they're thinking about. If just not having any actors just where you can kind of walk through. Dude, I helped build the thing.

And there are times like when no one else is in there and you're walking around it at night, it's kind of a freaky. Yeah. And I'm the one who helps put it together. Speaking of jump scares, apparently there's someone at the front door because my dog just had a heart attack and then it gave me a heart attack.

So apparently at the door there was a solicitor and I have a pretty massive no salicy sign sign. It specifically lays out who can knock on the door and that pretty much involves little kids and cookies. That's right. It was a good girl's cat.

I'm not interested. If you don't have some of us or a fundraiser for the local school, better not be knocking on the door. Residentials. We again, summertime is when they get really slow.

We do have two in the works. One, we're just having a devil of the time trying to get it scheduled. Part of that is because no pun intended, right? Exactly.

So the other bit is it's a long time friend of Castle and she really wants Castle there and Castle's schedule is almost as crazy as yours is not. So you're possible. And then the other one, we're still kind of on the works and that one. So, well, residential's are still around, but there happens some scheduling difficulties.

Okay. And all of that stuff was brought to you by Castle Photo Art. Go to Castle for your photo needs. That's one reason why he's scheduled so crazy because he works and does photos.

I see. That explains a lot. All right. I just want to put a plug in for advancedparentnormal.com.

Go ahead and check out our shop at eventburnwell.com. We're also on YouTube and TikTok. We have presents there. Feel free to look at the podcast there if you're not on a podcasting platform.

Are you two? We've got 205 subscribers now. If you're not already a subscriber on YouTube, please do so. We're trying to build our presents there and get up to the needed 1000 mark to be able to get monetized.

I know, I know. I can just get everybody that follows us on TikTok to follow us on YouTube. Make off to make a TikTok and show a little fire or something. It is basically the podcast that we put on YouTube just to help create another medium that people can listen.

We doubled our numbers this year, didn't we? TikTok or YouTube? Just downloads and subscriptions. Yeah, we've done really well this year.

Although I'm showing a little fire right now is going to be kind of detrimental because I sunburned the absolute life out of myself last week and now I'm molting like a lizard. We're at 4,345 subscribers by the way. We'll have to have Emma show a little fire. What?

345 on YouTube. So we're a third of the way to our goal. There you go. There you go.

Little ways to go guys. But that means we've encrused our subscribers in the last year. Keep it up folks. Keep it up folks.

That means if we continue that factor, we'll be close to 1000 next year. So cross those fingers. There we go. Okay, so our main topic today is energy healing.

Working in the paranormal field, we actually deal with energy healing a ton. A lot of people that are very into it. There's a lot of people that we've gone into do residential with or even people on public hunts that have had issues and they like to take care of it with energy healing. I have even gone in for some which we'll talk about a little bit more.

I've taken my daughter in for some which again will be too risky. There's actually a lot of different kinds and as you know, like over a dozen that I could find like 15 or 16 different forms of energy healing. Did you have a list? I'll bet you had a list.

Oh, we have two lists today, ladies and gentlemen. Two lists. I have a list. Now some of these to me sound like, you know, this is proprietary like somebody that's like somebody promoting their own method, right?

And so obviously it hasn't been around that long, but some of these others have been around a long time. Acupuncture and acupressure is considered energy healing because it promotes the energy flow. Brennan Healing Science, this is based on the author Barbara Brennan's teaching and practices. And that's one of those proprietary ones I was talking about.

Free bioengineering healing, the demands method. And that's immune system related. There's a chakra healing number four, Donna Eden's energy medicine number five. That's another one who's practicing her own thing.

Sounds interesting. Does it come in a bottle? Yes, right. I was going with it.

But whatever, keep on with your list. A little bit of stocks. EFT slash emotional freedom techniques. Seven energy focused body work.

Eight healing touch. Nine, Laura Alden Tam, who is another author, expert, intuitive, et cetera. Tan polarity therapy, which is based upon energetic principles of attraction, repulsion, and neutrality. Eleven, pranic or pranic healing.

It's funny because it kind of describes what I've been doing. Doesn't it have more to do with meditation as well? Well, it uses this kind of energy work and curing physical ailments. What he does is he cleans the body of dirty energy and replaces it with good energy.

Right. And it's more like a processor, like a seven step process and he gets really focused into the shockers and stuff. Right. This is the one, in fact, when I looked up this one, the pranic healing is it has the om mantras.

So you see the people that are meditating with their fingers on their knees home. That's what they're doing. Yes, what they're doing is the pranic healing. It's based in India.

Then we've got quantum touch, which sounds interesting. Thirteen, reiki, of course, which is probably the most popular you hear about these days. And that's the one that they use energy. They move energy through you.

The reiki person uses the energy, moves the energy through you to push out that energy. And a lot of these that do that visualization is very important, which we know it's very important to a lot of things that we do in this business. Restorative touch, shamanic healing, number fifteen, and number sixteen, theta healing. Which that's got theological overtones too.

That's kind of, it kind of reads to me like a Christian scientist philosophy. You're asking God to directly do it, the actual healing. But yeah, that's what I came up with. And a lot of them are very similar when you get right down to it.

Right. I actually had quite a long list. I actually broke mine down to four, which you had three of them on your list. The only one that you didn't have unless I misunderstood, there's one called kigong.

QI-G-O-N-G. Oh, you know I heard that, but it's not on this list. Yeah, so it's actually like a traditional Chinese method that they've used for centuries. And they didn't really go into how they did it.

But they say it lowers stress and anxiety, increases your focus, improves balance and flexibility. There is a lot to unpack in all of this. From the medical point of view. Well, it depends on how you want to approach it, right?

You've got to look at Eastern philosophies, Chinese philosophies, specifically. Qigong, Tai Chi and acupuncture, all are based on this system of QI, right? Where you're working on energy channels throughout the body that you can manipulate to bring in positive energy to push out negative energy. So QI-Gong is a form of practices, breathing techniques and postures to try to accumulate positive energy from the Earth essentially.

Tai Chi is actually very similar to what's focused on flow, right? That's why the practices of Tai Chi are very fluid. Right, and I would think I've never done Tai Chi. I've seen it in commercials, in medicine commercials.

But I would think too that that would have some aspect of meditation. Absolutely. Yeah, and the focus there is about that flow of QI energy through you and then acupuncture specifically is accessing the individual channels that happen. And I've got a recent experience with acupuncture.

And I went in as a photo skeptic, being just a Westerner through and through and scientist and not believing in that. But I got chronic back pain and I couldn't get in to get or my back injections weren't working. So my doctor practices acupuncture. So I went in and he said back pain.

So the procedure was five pins in each ear and I was sitting there as he was doing it. It was really weird because each pain he put in I could feel the pain disappearing a little more at a time and I sat more and more straight up until he got the last one in and it was amazing. I said, doc, the pain is gone and the guy giggled. I said, you're enjoying yourself, aren't you?

He said, yes. I said, is this really working or is it just placebo? And his answer was perfect. He said, I don't know.

Exactly. Well, and I think a lot of it has, you know, it's energy. It's, you know, if you don't have faith in it, it's not going to happen. And even though you were kind of questioning it, just the fact that you win was enough faith to make that work.

Well, pain will do that, you know. Right. I think it's a lot of my little segue nicely here. She was having some issues and, you know, we dealt with medical professions and we...

Because we know some medical people. We do. But, um... Plus my daughter's heart, she kind of wanted to, you know, try some of the other stuff.

And so we had a gal on our team that was a Reiki healer. Practitioner. She's a practitioner. She has since moved, which makes me very sad.

But I took my daughter there and she, at the time I think she was 12 or 13, she was a little skeptical and I was like, just, you know, let's just give it a try. I mean, she wanted to do it but the same type of skeptical. So we take her in there. She sits on the couch and the gal that did it said, you know, you can sit here, you can sit in the car, you can sit wherever you're comfortable.

So I just kind of went in the other room because I don't want to be breathing down the neck and putting bad energy in or something. So my daughter's sitting there and she starts doing her thing. And I don't know if each Reiki practitioner does it a little differently. I don't know if it's the same method.

But she just kind of would get in close just within a couple inches and I could see her kind of feeling for my daughter's energy and then she'd hit kind of a spot and she'd stay in that spot for a while and kind of had her hands up like she was feeling in the energy. And my daughter would kind of look over at me every once in a while. And I'm trying to read what she's feeling. And I can, you know, I'm a little empathetic and I can feel emotions and I could kind of feel my daughter going, this is a little weird.

I could tell that there was something she wanted to tell me but she couldn't because it was, you know, quiet. So when we got done, we're in the car and I said, so, you know, how was that? Because it was really weird. And I wasn't getting bad vibes from her.

It was kind of like, oh, vibes. She said it was really weird. She said every once in a while, she was like, did you notice that she would stop? Every once in a while.

And I said, yeah. And she said that's, she said when she'd stopped I could feel a tingling in the body but she wasn't touching me. I mean, she was probably, you know, maybe four or five inches away. I mean, she wasn't like all up in her space.

But she's like, how is she weird? Everyone's watching stop and then I feel tingling and then she move and then I feel tingling and I was like, oh, that's kind of cool. Yeah, Ricky, if I'm not mistaken, I believe it first makes it in Japan. The word key is synonymous with Chi from China.

So it's that same idea of energy flow and finding ways to alleviate obstructions to that flow. And so it's kind of really focused. And then Emmet, one of the energy healing techniques that you mentioned also is healing touch. It's similar in a big way to Ricky.

It's something that a lot of nurses actually decide to learn and they'll practice it with patients at the bedside sometimes. It's just, I think it's origins are also kind of focused in Reiki as well. Like when Mr. Miyaki claps the sounds and rubs them and then touches.

Pretty much. I work with a bunch of Mr. Miyaki. I use this by saying.

See? Well, and too, I mean, we can kind of get into the church aspect of it. But like in our church, for example, we do like a religious blessing which includes laying on the hands. So there's, you know, the touch incorporated with faith incorporated with intent and, you know, direction and guidance from God.

So, you know, that can be included in an energy healing. I have to say that laying on of hands did not work in the case of an old automobile delta ADA that I used to have. You blessed your car? We tried.

Yeah. I think it was already dead. But we tried. You laid your hands all over that thing.

Yeah. We did it around it. Nope. Well, I actually, I have a neighbor.

She just lives down the street a little ways. And she does energy healing. And I was actually going to call her today and I just never got a chance. I don't, I think she just says that she's an energy healer.

I don't know that she necessarily prescribes to any one school of thought. But when you go, she has you lay out kind of on a second massage table. And, you know, you're close. You don't have to address a second massage.

But she puts like this really comfy blanket on you and she doesn't have music, but she has those singing bowls. Oh, but yeah. Yeah. There's a name for that.

There is. And I can't think of what it is. That's why I said singing bowls because that's how my brain works. But you know, you kind of tap it and then run a maladon and run your finger on that now.

And she will use those. And it's just very relaxing. And then she'll say things. She'll say things of affirmation.

Or she's actually also quite empathic. And so sometimes she'll say, well, I feel like you're dealing with this. Or it feels like somebody in your pad, blah, blah, blah. And it's like, wow, yeah, you're right.

I've had experiences myself where. And in that one, it's more like I get you relaxed, get you thinking, you know, some of her energy. I think she does a little bit of rek because you can feel different things as she was doing this. I mean, physically feel things.

And then she also uses that to kind of get you in touch with some of your thoughts. And I just think energy healing is fascinating. So I don't get touched on something that Doc was saying about like she wise. So I don't think anyone here knows, but I hold a secondary block belt in Challenge One Fought.

I did not know that. I've been to China learned from the monk exactly how she works. And you can actually feel it when you're doing it right. You can feel it flowing through.

It literally the way the monks taught me is like water. If there's anything that you block and I think it shuts off. They're like, you're so feeling it. But if you do it right, you can literally I've seen it to where they even show me how to do it where I had my arm straight out, ran my hand down my arm.

And they took a steel rod and smacked along my arm and it bent the rod. And nothing was done to my arm at all. You know, I know where's that circle? That is, that's, you know, that's just control, you know, the energy in directing it away from harming you, not letting it.

But Raven, you're the one that taught me to pay attention to energy instead of blowing it off as I did most of my life. And last year I started talking to my wife and you know, she's an empath. And I started thinking, I bet we could, you know, we know we can feel and manipulate energy. And then we could pull pain away.

And we started practicing that and it was working. And it's weird because, you know, I visualized the pain and it's like black and sticky. And you actually have to, in your mind, like gather and pull it out to a person, but you can feel it. And then of course you have to discard it down into the earth, you know, and just throw it out anywhere.

But, you know, I have a friend in Colorado who's a Ricky Master and she does listen to these podcasts. And she's a guest at, you know, my homegrown attempts at energy manipulation because she studied, you know, literally for years. But, you know, I think a lot of people could actually do this. You know, if they just, if they just unlearn a lot of the learned behavior they pick up in life, they can feel that energy and begin to manipulate it.

And you can actually heal yourself and others with these techniques. You know, obviously they're not going to heal a broken arm. But they do work, you know, for chronic pain at various levels. And whether it's the actual, you know, you're actually doing something with energy to take that pain away or it's a placebo effect either way.

It works. And it's interesting that you mentioned that visualization component, right? Seeing your pain is something. So I did a hypnotherapy when I was in medical school.

And that was one of the things they talked about is that focus of visualization and then taking a source of pain or something and watching it either diminish or, you know, being discarded. And so there's a lot of similarities a lot of crossover there. That's exactly it. That's exactly it.

You focus on it and pull it out. You know, like they're trying to tell us we're doing that on another plane or whatever. But the mind's amazing that that's actually taught. Yeah, the mind is a powerful tool, right?

I mean, it's a powerful, it has more power, I think, than we comprehend. And it's amazing how much a little bit of focus, how far a little bit of focus can go when it comes to oral oral health. And I don't think- Just look out. Some people have different pain tolerances anyway, right?

Some people can work through incredible pain and others. It just turns them into, you know, crying bait. Don't I know it? I imagine.

Yeah. And I don't claim to be an energy healer by any stretch of the imagination. But if you're aware of how I, how my empathy works is I feel emotions and not just happy sad. I mean, I feel emotions of people and spirits so deep, it's almost like I'm reading their mind.

You know, there's just a lot more there than happy sad. And I think emotions kind of tie into this whole energy and have a lot of power over you. And your will be. And your will be.

You know, the power of your mind. If you're constantly negative, I think that's really going to do a number on your psyche and on your physical health, whereas if you're positive and happy. It doesn't mean your life has to be perfect, but if you can find the positive and bad things, I think that has a lot to do with it. Your body has a very difficult time, essentially can't differentiate between types of stress, whether it's physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.

And so by learning how to control those emotions, those feelings, those thoughts, it can be extremely therapeutic. And you hear the saying that laughter is the best medicine. And you get to that idea of, again, it's a mind thing. It's, you know, being able to enjoy humor, being able to have that release.

I understand there's actually endorphins and things that are released into the body when we laugh and when we do those things. So being joyful and happy and laughter, even in hard times, can really make a big difference. I know lots of policemen, doctors, nurses, they talk about having a dark humor, that they're working in the most stressful world. And they'll have kind of a dark humor and be able to laugh about things that are just absolutely tragic.

Is that not energy healing, right? I mean, it's positive energy, generally, but the dark humor hard, maybe not. But it's a way to release stress, negative energy or bad energy. Right.

And I have an example of that. I mean, as many of you know, a castle is a police officer. You know, one day he had to deal with something that was very tragic. And after the fact, you know, he was releasing some of that tension and some of that pressure and stress of the situation, you know, by making light with some dark humor, not necessarily of the situation, but just using some dark humor.

And my sister is just appalled. And I actually worked as a dispatcher for Highway Patrol and worked with several different police departments and policemen, and that's just how they do it. It's just how they deal with it. And I had to pull her aside and say, I know it's really, really dark, but that's how they have to deal with the thing.

You know, the things they deal with are really, really dark, and that's the only way they have to release that. It's a form of purging, right? It's a way of purging bad energy, essentially. I mean, call it, you know, crawling into a ball, assuming that fetal position and just, I mean, call, if I reflected on some of the stuff I've dealt with, I don't know how I could function.

Exactly. But by finding a way to release it, whether that's through humor or whether that's through discussion, debriefing, which we do a lot. I would think physical exercise would help too. Oh, absolutely.

It's all connected, absolutely. So I have a little list here, part of my list. A list? You have a list?

I do. Well, we've just got, we established this at the start of the podcast. We love lists. So these are just kind of some energy healing facts.

Five things, in fact, it says, here are five things everyone needs to know about energy healing. So here we go, ready? So one, kind of like we've discussed, like doctors discussed, energy healing is based on scientific fact. It's not just a lot of hope.

I mean, if you don't believe in it, then it's going to be helpful. But if you have any glimmer of, hmm, it is based on scientific fact, and the idea behind it is that the universe, everything is composed of molecules. And every molecule vibrates at different frequencies. Not every molecule is going to be exact.

The idea of the scientific fact is that we have molecules in our bodies. Everything is going to be vibrating and radiating positive or negative and different frequencies. They're going to get balanced. And so if things are misaligned and not firing right, things are going to get thrown out of whack.

And so when things get thrown out of whack, you can get pain, you can get diseases, and you can get sickness, physical ailments, all this sort of stuff. And so the idea of energy healing is to put everything that's out of whack back into whack and off you go. So that's kind of the first thing. Doc's shaking his head.

We're good. I think so. I mean, I don't want to be saying it's fact and have you up there going, I don't think so right. I believe we are composed of molecules.

We'll go with that. What website are you getting this stuff from? Well, there's, you know, we're electrical beings too. I mean, I can look at your electrical pattern by putting electrodes on your chest or on your head.

We are creatures of energy. So the next one is kind of stuff we've already been talking about that if you manipulate your energy, if you work on your energy, however that may be, is it having a positive attitude? Is it going to work out? Is it going to a regular?

Whatever it may be, it can help physical and emotional trials. I'm sorry, I've already discussed that one. Energy healing is available to anyone. You don't have to be in the paranormal because if you're not in the paranormal, you're probably not listening to me.

Anyway, but you don't have to have any sort of special abilities. You don't know how to get to this because I'm not in the path that I can't do this because I'm not in the media. You can do this. And benefit from it.

And basically you need to go into it thinking positive about it because if you go and think about this, it's not going to do any good. I think there's kind of an influx of interest in this recently. I know more people, not even in the paranormal world, but they're interviewing spiritually and I've known it a long time. Yeah.

So it's available to anybody. You just need to find someone. You can hardly throw a stick without hitting someone that knows somebody or does wreaking or one of these other energy humans. For the most part, it's painless and there's no negative side effects.

I don't know. Emmet, was the acupuncture? Was there any pain involved in that at all? Just a pin prick when you first pierced the skin, but not really any.

And my form, it wasn't the long needles in the ear because there isn't really room for a long needle in your ear cartilage. They're just tiny little gold, like little studded bullets that pierce the skin and a part of the end of it stays exterior to your ear. And every day I go in there with a little magnet and actually tap on each one to kind of restimulate the connection or whatever. So I mean, because as I was thinking about it, that was the only part of any sort of energy healing that I thought, and that might be painful, but in general, most, you know, it's just energy and it's not like they're getting cut open.

Also, it works with other kinds of healing. If you're going to have an operation, you can still use energy healing. They're not going to mix like bad drugs together. Yeah, that's a really good point.

And one of the things that I try to stress to people is I wouldn't seek out energy medicine or alternative medicine in lieu of getting your surgery done. Absolutely. In addition to exactly if you're trying to replace modern medicine with alternative medicine, I think you start getting into a risky game to be playing. I would say because let's say you have cancer and there's a treatment available and you opt not to pursue that treatment and you delay treatment to the point where now it's metastatic because you're seeking alternatives, it can actually be very detrimental.

I knew a person that happened to that was diagnosed with probably a very operable cancer fairly early and chose to do some kind of coffee enema to clear it because of someone told her that this word was very important. And she ended up dying because she didn't get the treatment, but she needed the medical treatment she needed based upon. Yeah, and I don't remember who it was, but I do remember being on one investigation where someone had some, I mean, I am full of medical knowledge. But to me, seemed like a serious health issue.

And she was just going to deal with it through Rekka. And I said, that's great. Do the Rekka. But I said, please, please go see a doctor just to double check.

No, I don't think any doctor is going to look at you and go, what's the harm? Right? What is the harm? Yeah, even though isn't that kind of the one of the parts of the oath is do no harm?

Yeah, critical. First, do no harm. Right, even on this list, it says, I'll read this read over beta, but it says, energy medicine doesn't replace Western medicine. Yeah, but I say there's no one size fits all.

You know, someone may benefit with a lot of medical and a little bit of Rekka. Some things may need a lot of Rekka, a little medical. Some might need a half and a half. But one thing that it does do, you know, you put the two together, you know, they're just going to work really well in conjunction, you know, to support balance to, you know, if your body's functioning optimally with as far as the energy, that's going to help.

That's going to help promote the physical stuff that the Western medicine is going to do. Right, if you're dealing with depression or, you know, especially mental health issues, maybe supplementing some therapy with, you know, with energy medicine, maybe beneficial. Maybe it'll reduce the amount of medication you need to take. Maybe you won't need medication at all.

Maybe you won't need as much therapy because everything else is falling in place. You're feeling better, exactly. You know, I was just, I paused because I was thinking I took a class and one of the things we were taught in the class was to use a pendulum with the chakras. And the pendulum can show which of your chakras is out of alignment.

And then, remember I said I'm not an energy healer. You kind of are. Well, I thought about this. I don't, if you were to call me and say, hey, Ray, but we do some energy.

I know some great, ricky people. But it's interesting because when I was taking the class, we did do this. And you know, there's probably eight of us in the class. And we would take turns and, you know, the instructor would show us how to do it.

And I've done it, you know, four, like family members. And how does their chakras and that kind of stuff. Right. So, you know, the idea is you hold a pendulum over the chakra.

And if it goes, and it depends on whether you're male or female because the chakras, you know, are exact opposite. It's been opposite. At each location. At each location.

And I'm not going to tell you how it goes because I don't remember. And then I'm going to be off and change. If you don't want to be changed. But the idea is, if it's going the opposite way that it's supposed to be, you know, everybody in the room, whether it's just you and the person with off chakras, you just kind of focus your energy and get that pendulum swinging the other way.

And it's pretty crazy how that works. So the chakras and kind of that Indian slash indie branch of energy medicine is also fascinating. That might be another topic of discussion. Absolutely.

And one of the things I thought interesting about the chakras is if you don't have someone with a pendulum with you, you know, you can just sit and think about which way the chakras are supposed to go. You feel within yourself that that chakras spin in the way it's supposed to. Visualization. Exactly.

You move to the next one, move to the next one. You can actually clear them yourself. You might not know which one's out, but if you just go through, I guess you could because you could probably move visualisation. Oh my word.

That's a hard word to say all of a sudden. When you visualize it, it's probably easier to get it to spin the right way if it's not out of whack. So there's a whole lot to do. It has to spin the opposite way if you're in the southern hemisphere.

You got an Australian. Yeah. Yeah. Where chakras go the other way.

Yeah. We could do a whole other podcast on track. I think we have a long time ago. We could redo it.

Kundalini and all of the other types of chakras. I'm not going to be a really fascinating. Just the colors and what they will stand for you. So any more on energy healing before we want to move on?

We could talk about it all night really. Oh, yeah. This is one that we can probably have a whole podcast just on energy. We'll revisit this again in the future.

And you know, I like that the chakra idea of just exploring that. I do want to touch just a little bit on psychic surgery and people that have talked about that and there have been a number of people. This happens more in Latin America, the Philippines and those areas where they'll have these faith healers that will do surgeries and they supposedly are invasive into the body and they're using sleight of hand and other things and pull out materials. That's where I'm going.

Okay. What I'm trying to say is we talk about energy. This is not the kind of thing we're talking about. Somebody might mistake that for this kind of psychic surgery and a lot of these have been debunked and different things, but they're still hugely popular in many cultures.

Well, what could be more therapeutic than feeling like somebody actually extracted a problem out of your body in front of your eyes? Imagine the boost that'll have to your medical state. That placebo effect is profound, right? Absolutely.

And so is there benefit in it? Yeah, is it all BS? Yeah. And do real problems get masked for a short period of time as we're talking about just a few minutes ago and things don't get taken care of the way they need to take care of.

Right. And the placebo effect can be a very powerful thing. I mean, the double blind studies they do with placebos. Sometimes people get it.

It depends on what they have wrong. I'm going to throw this out there having just recently had actual bona fide surgery about a month ago. I don't want anyone cutting into me unless it's medically going to actually fix me because recovery is so bad. Well, psychic surgery, they can just do it with their mind.

They go in and they pull things out when you're done. It's amazing. So they don't actually try you in a room. They just pull out bugs and leeches and chicken gizzards and stuff.

It's a slight of hand. It's basically just you know, they make a bullet. They just jump their hand into their body and pull something out. So like the second Indiana Jones where they reach in and grab your heart and pull it out.

Yeah, kind of like that. Only they don't actually do it. Or you want a pit of lava. There's no blood or anything.

No blood, no lava. No. You're right. There's a big distinction between what we're talking about with energy healing and charlatans that are practicing psychic surgery and just praying on superstition.

Exactly. And I don't want to say and I don't want to say, you know, profiting on that because let's face it, doctors profit on their knowledge. Yeah, but they actually do stuff. Right.

I'd like to think anyway. But you know, we all profit on our knowledge in whatever field it is that we are experts at. There's nothing wrong with that. But when you're defrauding people, that's the issue.

Yeah. What have you got for us? Well, you know, I thought today we could review some of the equipment to the gear that we used hunting for UFOs or UAPs. Is there called?

No. So what is the UAP? I've heard that in the news. I've had aerial phenomenon and that's kind of what they're using because UFOs has such a bad connotation.

Well, they got to. They've got another term for the ones that go underwater or in air. And I think this is like meant to cover everything. You know, okay, right.

Are we going to talk about this congressional hearing thing? Is that what we're going? No, we're going with gear here. Oh, okay.

Because we're basically, you know, the hearings. They were they were nowhere. You know, it's like, what's his name? Grush.

He had, you know, all he had was hearsay. He's still no evidence. Does it really surprise you that it went nowhere with the federal government? No, no, no.

It's, you know, all right. With that as it may. Fair point. Let's talk about gear.

Well, you know, something gear we use in just, you know, in ghost hunting. We use in UFO hunting too. I have any M.F. detector.

I use night vision cameras, but I don't use the ones. I use different ones. These are onyx aurora. Very low light and infrared cameras.

High resolution. They work amazingly well on the night sky. And they can also be paired to. Wi-Fi to a laptop or your phone.

We have those mounted on two little motorized tilt and pan heads that are remote controlled. So actually you can just sit there and scan around the sky, you know, looking at a monitor. Will his camera looks around. We have two of those.

And then of course, my land techs RF Explorer, which explores the radio spectrum. Any of you that are watching Skinwalker Ranch show know that every time they stimulate the anomaly, they get incredible transmissions at 1.6 gigahertz. And that's actually a band reserved for spacecraft, communication, satellites, astronomy. And so that kind of makes you wonder, right?

So I have that so I can actually detect if there's a 1.6 gigahertz or any frequency really. This will scan quite a bit of the radio spectrum. 1.6 gigahertz is actually up there getting close to microwave wavelengths. What else have we got in there?

Oh, yeah, the one thing that we don't use on paranormal investigations, I have to have a Geiger counter. For gamma radiation, no kidding, because that's been shown to appear from time to time. And that was fun because when I had to take a radioactive iodine pill a couple times in the last year. And it was fun to hold that Geiger counter up to me to myself and just getting these high warnings like, oh, I just walked out of Chernobyl or something.

The meter was going off. Oh, yeah, yeah. But the half-life is a day, so it leaves your system quickly. But I had to act that.

Oh, yeah. It's a medical miracle anyway. But I mean, so that's about it. Really.

Oh, and then of course we have the night vision, zoom binoculars and monocular and 50 milliliter, no 100-millouette laser. And of course the giant flashlight that's like a searchlight. It's light of everything. So it's a little specialized, but I say about half of it I could take on just a paranormal ghost hunt.

And it would be very useful. This may be my ignorance. What are the pros and cons of a monocular versus binocular setup? Well, with a digital binocular, you're really not looking through, what you're looking at is a tiny little screen right up to your eyes.

So you're not looking through two optical systems. And even if you see one in a catalog that has two lenses out in front, you're only getting an image through one of them. The other one is an illuminator, a spotlight, an infrared spotlight that will throw a spotlight out there in a distance where you'll look at. So you have to use both eyes with that.

But the nice thing about the monocular is it's the same thing as a tiny screen. You hold it right up to your eye. But you're only losing your night vision in that one eye. The other eye is still dark adapted.

So that's the way I actually prefer to go. So you can wear your pirate patch over your other eye right to return your eye. That's interesting. I wouldn't have thought about trying to retain your dark adapted eye.

Oh, it's hard. Looking at a laptop or a screen and then try looking at the sky and you can't see a damn thing because your dark adaptation is gone. Oh, yeah. Having worked at an observatory in college yet.

Once you get your eyes adapted to the dark, you avoid light like a light. And then they'll take a long time to get them back. At least 20 minutes. Yeah.

So you're out of luck if something happens and you can't see it. That's funny. Getting back to the pirates. Everybody thought, oh, the pirates had the patch because they got their eye poked out.

And it's no, they had the patch so that when they went down into the ship or came up out of the ship's hole where it was so dark and they had already adjusted their lights because they didn't have a lot of light down there. They could go back down and take a patch off and see well in the dark. All they had was deck prisms. They were glass prisms put in the deck above and it dispersed light into the deck below.

But even at noon, that's still pretty dim down there. So pirates were really much. It's funny because you see the quintessential pirate with the patch and it wasn't because their eye was out. It was because when they would go down into the hole, they could, there was an eye poking pen, denickers on there.
