Energy use at Meta data center not a “trade secret,” judge rules

The state’s Public Service Commission unlawfully withheld information about the projected energy use at Meta’s data center in Beaver Dam, a Dane County judge ruled on Monday. Midwest Environmental Advocates (MEA) filed the lawsuit late last year, seeking a better understanding of the project’s scale and its potential impact on the public.
