England retain their title!

England are still European Champions! The Lionesses beat Spain in a nail-biting penalty shootout. It was revenge over a Spanish team who had beaten them in the World Cup Final two years ago.It is the first major trophy won by England on foreign soil and once again the hero was Chloe Kelly, who this time scored the winning penalty having scored the winning goal in the final three years ago. Manager Sarina Wiegman has now won the last three Euros with two different teams – a remarkable achievement.
