Ennis Native Nominated For 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards

from Clare FM · host Clare FM

An Ennis native is in the running to make history at this year's Creative Arts Emmy Awards.    John Merry has been nominated for his work as Supervising Art Director on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the eagerly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, and could become the first person from County Clare to win an Emmy in the awards' 78-year history.    From studying architecture to helping create some of television's biggest productions, John's career has taken him from Ennis to Belfast and now to Hollywood's biggest stage.    Alan Morrisey was delighted to be joined by John to hear more.
