Enriching Education and Empowering Teachers with Technology

Integrating technology in education isn’t easy. It requires a lot of expertise, as well as robust support for educators and administrators. That’s the goal of the partnership between CTSI and LG.Discussing how they work together as manufacturer and integrator, ClearTalk host Tyler Kern spoke with Kelsey Hunter, User Experience Consultant at CTSI, and Victoria Sanville, National Sales Manager, Public Sector, LG.“Working with CTSI as an integrator makes us look great. The fact that they have former teachers as part of their team is great,” Sanville said.Hunter, a former educator, said, “It makes the transition to technology options easier. We also want to enable them to use the technology so that it has long-term value.”With more federal dollars now available for school districts to address learning loss, equity and mental health concerns, opportunities to leverage technology are all around. “Districts have until September 30, 2023, to use the funds, so they have more time to plan and be thoughtful. Bring us into the conversation early. In helping you plan, we focus on a use case perspective, not a plug-in perspective,” Sanville commented. Hunter reiterated that being part of the planning allows districts and institutions to articulate their needs. “We then grow the idea and narrow the avenues to get there, so you get value out of every dollar.”Sanville noted there are long and short-term needs, but they aren’t in siloes. She shared some examples. “The definition of the classroom is changing. Many school systems are more willing to apply creativity to define what a learning space is, empowering teachers to engage in-person and remote students.” Technology must have a plan and look toward the future. It only delivers value through adoption. “Design doesn’t mean anything if it’s not being utilized. We stick around throughout the process to make sure it does,” Hunter said.
