"Entering the Church with repentance" - Sunday of St. Mary of Egypt

Homily, 04.10.2022 - St. Mary of Egypt; the Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews. (9:11-14); the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark. (10:32-45) **NOTE:  St. Mary labored in the wilderness for a total of 47 years, the 17 years mentioned in this homily are the years of her initial struggle in the wilderness, her first 17 years of struggling against the passions that had been so ingrained in her; it took 17 years of burning with desire before the sin that has been so habituated in her died down and she was able to live in peace.
