Enterprise Tuesday - Food for Thought: Innovating in an Innovation-Antipathetic Sector

from CambridgeJBS · host CambridgeJBS

With guest panellists Matt McLaren of Entomics (Accelerate Cambridge), Vaiva Kalnikaite of nūfood (Ignite) and Oliver Thain of Cambscuisine (SME Growth Challenge) - 27 Feb 2018. Some sectors are inherently not very welcoming of innovation. This has been found to be the case in some instances in the food industry. How do we innovate intelligently to combat this and build confidence in the sector so that mindsets are changed? Our speakers will tell of their own experiences and how they found a way to realise their vision against the odds in an innovation-antipathetic sector. These entrepreneurs have looked at our behaviours relating to food. Their findings are reflected in their innovations which relate to such things as food waste, food miles and mobile shopping aids to mention just a few of the issues and opportunities. Bring your questions and see how such entrepreneurial adaptability can be transferable. The session is chaired by Nicholas Hunt, Business Relationship Director of Santander Business. Enterprise Tuesday is 2017/18 is sponsored by Cobra Beer, Deliveroo and DLA Piper. The programme is managed and delivered by the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre.
