Nikolai; ex-combatiente de la primera guerra de Chechenia, fue como voluntario, con 18 años; padece cáncer de laringe, a consecuencia del fosgeno empleado en esa contienda. Tras la independencia de Estonia, Nikolai perdió su ciudadania y con ella cualquier derecho a la asistencia médica.. Llegó de Holanda a Coruña, con la esperanza de viajar a Canadá para conseguir un tratamiento. Compró un bote de 50 euros, llamado Hércules, en un hipermercado, con el objetivo de salir mar adentro para que un barco más grande le llevará a Canadá, en donde, su enfermedad puede tener cura. Le queda tan sólo un año de vida. Ésto fue lo que nos contó...
