Environmental regulators were too lenient with Port Washington data center, lawsuit argues

One of the largest development projects in Wisconsin history is moving forward without the level of environmental review and public input the law requires. That’s according to a lawsuit Midwest Environmental Advocates filed against the state’s Department of Natural Resources last week, seeking a more detailed assessment of the data center campus that’s currently under construction in Port Washington. Michael Greif is a legal fellow at MEA. He joined our News Producer Faye Parks to go over the case, and describe the additional steps state regulators can take to hold tech giants accountable in Wisconsin.
