In this episode, Pastor Gunnar Ledermann and Pastor Titus Buelow wrestle with what it means to have our identity first and foremost in being a citizen of heaven, a chosen people by God, and a royal priesthood, not being a citizen of this world and merely being about this life. Having a deeper and more substantial identity that goes beyond sexuality, a movement, an action or a cause means that you can be consistent and grounded in a way those who are unchristian cannot be. It also impacts what always takes precedence when making decisions and living in certain lifestyles. This also impacts how we respond to our earthly leaders. They are in place because God allows them to have their time and place for the good of society. It is not our primary calling to revolt against the establishment and to establish a perfect order here on earth. That will never happen in our sinful world. That doesn't mean we don't exercise our role as a Christian and as a citizen of a country to vote, to protest if needed, and to stand firm, especially when it is about God's Word or command vs. human word and command. However, we do so with humility and submission to God's authority which is over all human authority. We ultimately trust Him to make it right. A lot of intense things to discuss. Join us!
