EP #002 - What Coke & Concrete Have in Common

from Concrete Logic · host Seth Tandett

In today’s episode of the Concrete Logic podcast, we are lucky to have Jessica Wilson and Doug Clark of CarbonCure. CarbonCure is a technology that injects carbon dioxide into ready-concrete. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is an important heat-trapping (greenhouse) gas, which is released through human activities such as deforestation and burning fossil fuels and natural processes such as respiration and volcanic eruptions. It's also used to carbonate soft drinks and beer! The purpose of CarbonCure (injecting CO2in concrete) is to offset the Carbon footprint of cement used in concrete as a tool to compete in our new world of carbon credit construction. Think of it as making the concrete "green" or more environmentally friendly. Listen to the podcast and learn more about this new concrete technology! To learn more about CarbonCure, please feel free to email Jessica Wilson ([email protected]) or Doug Clark ([email protected]). If you want to reach Seth, please email [email protected].
