My bullshit-metre is a finely honed machine. I can smell it a mile away. The writer Michael Turner first turned me onto this. I had never thought of it before. But once I had I saw it everywhere. Especially in myself. I don’t know what you look for in a politician but I want a smart person to do the heavy-lifting for me. I’m lazy. And when some sleaze-bag says they’re going to lower taxes and invest in my children’s future my bullshit-o-metre redlines.
