This episode features multiple evolutionary scenarios that propose how various non-human species—distinct from Homo sapiens—might have evolved to intelligence and, over time, become responsible for the UAP phenomenon documented throughout recorded history. At the core of this discussion is the idea of an evolutionary void—one that should have been filled by any ancient species capable of surviving underground. By seeking refuge beneath the surface, such a species could have escaped the many hazards of surface life: from natural disasters and drastic climate shifts to competition for food, territory, and resources.
