EP 03 "How Pole Dancing Changed My Life?"

from Breakfast With Tiffany Show · host Tiffany Rossdale / Diana Dia

Send us Fan MailRidiculously high heels, amazing choreography, and a slinkiness that defies the natural laws of gravity. With the pole world growing, and sexy style gaining back popularity again, a few names for the style are continuously used, usually interchangeably such as stripper style, exotic styles and classique style. There actually seemed to be a lot of agreement on what each particular term referred to. There were shared dance elements, stylistic choices, and tricks or skills or movements which were associated with each term. Exotic pole dancing style is associated with amazing strength and skills around the pole. This style is more on technical difficulty. Its about wowing the audience with complex base work, deceptive strength work, and crazy transitions. Moves that are sexy by virtue of their brilliant quality. Exotic definitely has a higher focus on tricks, but a lot of focus is on the base of the pole for these performers, and it is incredible to watch. They aim to execute their strength moves as effortlessly as possible, whilst finding new and interesting ways around the pole. In this week’s episode, we will talk to one of the veteran in pole dancing. Won several times in pole dancing competitions held worldwide. Currently a top pole dancing Instructor in Tokyo. She’s a certified yoga and anti gravity teacher, studied Ayurveda and nutrition courses, and a meditation practitioner. Diana Dia is a Moldovan performer base in Japan and soon in Europe.
