Vijitha Rajan is senior research fellow at the University of Delhi. Her current doctoral research attempts to understand migrant children's experiences of childhood and education in urban spaces. Her interests include sociology of education, educational exclusion, education and social justice, teacher identities, and alternative schooling.  Dr. Annie McCarthy is Assistant Professor of Global Studies at the University of Canberra. Her research interests include childhood, development, narrative, temporality, and India.
