Ep 030 Gurschach

Gurschach had just released a reimagined cover version of Metallica's "St. Anger". if it was not for that release I might not have stumbled upon this band for some time. The version did exactly what most artists hope for, further recognition. The video for "St. Anger Reimagined" has over 135 thousand views. Their other videos are starting to grow in numbers as well. As we started to dig into the music, for me, it became more of just research for an interview. I was definitely becoming a fan. The band melds many different layers of well though out compositions. All of their songs are not just 3 minutes of screaming metal. Most songs have different parts and twists that keep you fully engaged throughout the entire song/album. We got to talk to these guys just before Christmas. They were a lot of fun to get to know. We talked about movies, liquor, other subjects. Of course, we also talked about music. I hope you enjoy our talk. At the very least, check out Gurschach! if you love hard fast music with an intelligent edge, this is for you.
