Ep. 032 - Black Mass

For September 22nd, 2015, Mike, Red and Scott meet in the Nostromo Lounge and discuss the recent news of PACIFIC RIM 2 getting delayed indefinitely, an instantly forgotten (and admirably flawed) summer box office flop called TOMORROWLAND, Red channels the stern word of God and commands everyone to read the graphic novel PREACHER by Garth Ennis & Steve Dillon, Scott drones about the constantly rumoured AKIRA live action remake and what an appropriate course of action the American adaptation might take, we look at the touching 1969 British drama KESfrom Ken Loach, and much, much more before our featured review of Johnny Depp's latest accent-ridden, prosthetic experiment BLACK MASS from director Scott Cooper. So sharpen up those Jai-alai maneuvers, slip on your ice-blue contact lenses, remember to lock your bedroom door when having gangsters over for supper, and let's see if we can take down the Winter Hill Gang before we're all implicated in the crimes of our own informants.
