His Instagram handle is none other than today’s guest, the legend himself, War For Knowledge. As time went on, I learned his named was actually Nacho and we came became internet buds. Nacho is someone who I feel a connection with because we sort of work in the same general field and it’s always inspiring to witness the graphical goodies he creates. Nacho has a great perspective on life, is extremely talented, has a good head on his shoulders, and is someone I’m happy to call my homie. Also, if you don’t want to take it from me on how epic the dude is, take it from Thrasher Magazine - Nacho was written about in an article for the mag. That’s all the proof you need for his iconic status. He then talks about his early jobs post art school and how he eventually landed at the legendary Baker Boys Distribution, a hub for some of the most iconic brands in the skateboard industry - in example: Baker, Deathwish, Birdhouse, Shake Junt, and more. He shares about the power of mantras and dives into how skateboard graphics are made. He talks about collaborating with skaters and skate art legends like Kevin Spanky long, Jim Greco, Shane Heyl, Andrew Reynolds, and more. He then talks about making graphics for Tony Hawk’s company, Birdhouse. After all the skate talk, we then get into music. Nacho shares about making his first Blink-182 concert poster and how he got started in the music merchandise game.
