Ep 051: Bob Stoops Book Review and Recent Death of Kenny Ploen

For this week's podcast, I highlight former Iowa player and Oklahoma legendary head coach, Bob Stoops. I also review his book "No Excuses: The Making of a Head Coach" that was published in 2019. Earlier this month, we lost another Hawkeye legend, Kenny Ploen, who died at the age of 88. He was the QB for Iowa during the 1956 season, leading them to the Big Ten title and first Rose Bowl appearance in school history. I also included a radio clip from an interview with Ploen from back during the 1956 Rose Bowl season.
