I’ll be hitting the big 4-0 in March so I thought a little organization self-reflection would make for a fun episode!

This week I’m talking about what it’s been like organizing in my 30’s as a new busy mom of littles. In those early days, it was all about hiding all the baby gear and toys in neutral baskets, embracing hand-me-downs, and getting really good at doing the purge when they quickly outgrew things.

Then, it was a matter of organizing what was leftover in kid-friendly ways that would give our family the best chance of success. Sometimes that just meant success in surviving the day!

Highlights from this episode:

{2:45} Turning 40

{4:39} How organizing is different now to my early 30's

{11:36} Creating a distraction-free bedroom for kids

{17:57} Having your home set up to work for every member of the family

{18:47} Embracing all the stages of your kid's lives

Mentioned on this episode:

Ep 6: Maximize Your Vertical Space

Ep 10: Reclaim Your Space with Amy Pendergraft

Ep 45: Living in Organization Limbo

Ep 46: Making Your Bed
