Students John and Emilio from Team 3082 Chicken Bot Pie host a discussion about Chicken Planner, an open source app just released. ChickenPlanner is an autonomous path planning tool for FRC robots, developed by FRC Team 3082 (Chicken Bot Pie), that generates paths using Bézier curves and supports modular autonomous routines with event markers to trigger code during path following. It allows teams to define paths and sequences of paths on a GUI, with the ability to preview and edit waypoints, and automatically generates robot-side code to execute the planned trajectories. The students share about why they chose Java and other teams share their experiences and ask questions of 3082.
