So much of our growth happens in the dark. We often think the magic is going to happen in the light of day, where it's obvious, where the world is celebrating us, when the spotlight is on us, when we are getting our big wins. But so much of my own experience has shown me that true creation and mastery happens in the dark, when no one else can see you or celebrate you. It’s the work you do in the dark of the morning while the world still sleeps, the work you do late at night after the kids are in bed and the house is finally quiet, the work that you do in the middle of the night because you just can’t get that thought out of your head… This is when all the greatness happens.
