Gill retired from full time work in 2021. Prior to that she was a member of Victoria Police for 37 years, having previously spent 5 years in the UK Police. Of those 37 years, 27 were in management positions. Prior to joining the police she worked for Marks and Spencer in England and was part of their management program. As former police officer she has a wealth of experience in the management of major and critical incidents combined with strong organisational, planning and project management skills. She has a very positive attitude to all things and applies this to gain effective results using sound decision making and problem solving skills. Gill has a strong drive to achieve positive results for her teams and the organisation she works with. She is an authentic and people focused leader with a strong ethical approach. Gill loves working in teams and seeing others succeed so has a focus on professional development and growth of team members. Gill uses many of her skills in voluntary work with the Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers and on the Committee of Management for the building where she resides. In addition, she works as the Chief Supervisor for VCE Exam invigilation and is employed as a courtesy car driver for the Australian Open Tennis each year.
