Lupus gets a swift kick in the pants from this amazing doctor who was diagnosed at age 16 with stage 4 kidney disease, endured 2 years of chemo and yet still attended and graduated medical school while giving herself shots daily to prevent strokes.  Through all of this she is indeed the eternal optimist who like her mother and grandmother are powerful and strong warrior women who "hover with love" in helping others achieve their dreams and kick diseases like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis to the curb.  I'm not talking about remission here, ladies…I'm talking about HEALING from lupus and other autoimmune diseases.  It can be done!  Dr. G talks hope, love, optimism, and green smoothies in today's episode of Lauri's Lemonade Stand.  "You weren't born to suffer" - let the healing begin.
