Ep. 1 Disclaimer

from The Things We Do For Sex Hosted by Ceres Celeste

The Things We Do For Sex is a behind-the-scenes account of a life and career spent in and around sex work. The stories shared here are drawn from real experiences involving real people. Privacy matters enormously to me. Names and identifying details may be changed, omitted, obscured or combined to protect the anonymity of clients, colleagues, friends and others who have crossed my path. Where identifying information is included, it is done with the explicit permission of the person concerned. Naturally, writing honestly about sex and sex work means wandering into territory that may be confronting for some readers and listeners. This project may contain frank discussions of sex, sexuality, kink, power, relationships, bodies, body fluids, motherhood, shame, trauma and other adult themes. Please engage with it according to your own boundaries. These stories are shared for education, reflection and entertainment. They are not intended as professional medical, psychological or legal advice, nor should my experiences be treated as universal representations of sex work or the people who participate in it. If you can, come with an open mind. Sex work is real work. My business operates in Queensland, Australia, where sex work has been decriminalised. A NOTE ON PRIVACY, CONSENT & SHARING Some of the stories told here exist because people trusted me with extraordinarily private parts of themselves. I take that trust seriously. The writing, audio and other original material published under The Things We Do For Sex remain my intellectual property unless otherwise stated. They may not be reproduced, republished, adapted, repackaged, recorded, distributed or commercially exploited without my prior permission, subject to any rights or exceptions provided by applicable law. Sharing a link to the original work is, of course, welcome. If you are a journalist, creator, publisher, producer or anyone else interested in quoting, featuring, adapting or sharing a story with your own audience, please contact me directly. I’m very open to conversations about how we can do that in a way that respects the work, and, most importantly, the privacy of the people whose lives intersect with these stories. There are real people behind these words. Please treat them accordingly. Lastly, everything you read or hear through The Things We Do For Sexcomes from me. I will never use artificial intelligence to fabricate stories, manufacture experiences, invent encounters or use AI to speak on my behalf. The memories are mine. The experiences are mine. The opinions, observations, confessions and questionable life choices are also, for better or worse, entirely mine. I do use software and AI-assisted tools as part of the editorial process - much in the same way I might use a spellchecker, thesaurus or human editor - to help refine wording, correct grammar, improve formatting or untangle a sentence when my brain refuses to cooperate. These tools may help me polish what I have written; they do not create the substance of what I have to say. No story published here will be generated to fill space, embellished by a machine for dramatic effect, or passed off as something I experienced when I did not. In a corner of the internet increasingly populated by synthetic everything, I want to be very clear about that distinction. As someone who has been writing for over 25 years, I take immense pride in the ways I show up and speak my essence into the World Wide Web, baby! Speak soon, lovers.
