Ep. 1 - Medical Assistance in Dying

The inaugural episode of Death and Praxis - Kieran and Charlotte discuss the process of human euthanasia, more commonly referred to as Medical Assistance in Dying, or MAID. MAID is practised in many countries around the world, but Canada is a leader in the space, and just hit their 10-year anniversary of it’s legalization. This episode covers some of the facts about what it is, why it’s humane and dignified, and deals with some of the political backlash arising from reactionary right-wing movements.
