They each grew up in low-income single-mother households and financial education was not a priority. So you could say, they essentially won the lottery.  They spent every last penny of the $600k and then found themselves in over $220k worth of debt in just 3.5 years. In late 2019, they decided to start their journey to financial freedom and they paid off $132k in 18 months.
