Ep. 10 - Commissioner Anne Cleary

Episode 10 of “These Are Your Neighbors” features Anne Cleary. Anne was invited to be a guest on the program because of her work as a multi-business owner in Bismarck as well as in public service. Anne is extremely passionate about her hometown and has been a changemaker in our community by advocating for small businesses and by making a difference in public service as a City Commissioner.Anne Cleary, a 3rd generation resident and small business owner, is passionate about her home community. An alumnus of the University of Mary, Cleary has been a small business owner in Bismarck for the last decade. Working first in a business she would come to own, as well as starting new businesses in the community, Cleary is a fierce advocate for small businesses and is a part of a family that believes in public service. Prior to becoming elected to the City Commission in 2022, supporting local businesses and the arts community had led Cleary to become involved in a number of community organizations including: Vice President for the Downtown Business Association of Bismarck Board of Directors, President of Bismarck Arts Bash Board of Directors, and the Bismarck Together 2045 Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board. As city commissioner she carries the portfolio assignments of: Facility Maintenance, Fleet, Forestry, Public Health, Roads & Streets, Solid Waste Utility, Street Lights Utility as well as is the city’s liaison for the Bismarck Public Library and the Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless people.
