Ep. 10 Folk Band Cosmic Village

Cosmic Village is a conscious folk collective led by Uche, a Nigerian singer/songwriter who was born in the U.K. and moved the the U.S. when she was 6 years old. Uche grew up musically in the Ohio music festival scene and shapes her music around making her audience feel elevated, real, and comfortable. Powerful lyrics and strong, honest melodies have allowed Cosmic Village emerge vibrantly during 2014, their debut year. Cosmic Village's main goal is to use sound and various other forms of art, including flow arts and visual artistry, to bring about positive social change through peaceful activism such as environmental initiatives, self-love, artistic collaboration, and giving back to the global community in holistic and sustainable ways.
