Ep 10. It all works out in the end, Leveraging anxiety, & Job detachment

from The Darn Diaries · host Darnell Setiadi

It all works out in the end I felt gutted when my co-op instructor told me I was going to be soon replaced as soon as my term was over, which got me thinking of sending out resumes, practicing for interviews, and adjusting to a new job role. But one thing kept me calm and centered amidst all this. Leveraging anxiety There are 2 driving factors to help anyone succeed in life: Fear of being a failure and An overarching life goal. I've always had the second one, no problem, but recently, I think I might have created the first one to my advantage. Here's how to leverage that. Job detachment Oftentimes, when we've been on a job for so long, or at least for me, we tend to mold it into our identity that the thought of it having it taken away would mean losing a part of who we are. But that doesn't have to be the case, so here's my take on how to disassociate yourself from your job.
