Ep.10 - Salty AF (The Underground Detroit Salt Mines)

In Episode 10 Jess tells Alex all about the salty underbelly of Detroit, while they sip on some Salty Dog Cocktails. Almost 1200 feet beneath Detroit/Metro-Detroit's surface are the Detroit Salt Mines; miles upon mines of tunnels where workers extract salt in the consistent 60 degree tunnels year round. The mines themselves have changed hands quite a few times during the past 100 years and are no longer open for public tours today.
